Alfred Jesse Pierce

Alfred Jesse Pierce was the son of William Walter Pierce and Elizabeth Smith Pierce. He was born and died in Wilkinson County, Ga. He enlisted on August 21st of 1861 in the 3rd regiment of the Georgia Volunteers and was wounded at Malvern Hill. His wounded body was covered by his brother Ezekial, who then was wounded and died at Chimborazo Hospital at Richmond, Va., August 7, 1862. Alfred Jesse Pierce was discharged on account of wounds at Brandy Station, Va. on November 5, 1863. He is buried at Big Sandy Baptist Church at Nickelsville, Wilkinson County, Georgia.
