3rd Georgia Volunteer Infantry

A Member Organization of the North-South Skirmish Association

 

The 3rd Georgia has been a part of the North-South Skirmish Association (N-SSA) for almost a quarter of a century now. The members of the 3rd Georgia are "Skirmishers." Skirmishers fire live ammunition in individual and team marksmanship matches using original and reproduction Civil War military-issue firearms such as revolvers, carbines and rifle muskets in different classes of competition.

In Fond Memory The tombstone of "Johnny Reb" Hathaway, a member of the 3rd Georgia. Johnny is buried in the Confederate Section of the cemetery in Eatonton, Georgia. Johnny was a true friend, a wonderful companion, a dedicated skirmisher and a fine Southern Gentleman. We miss him very much.
